Hi,

Two ideas from a film re-recording mixer.

  1. Variable top and bottom maximums in the leveler. Now both are linked in the range. With a different top and bottom setting a different dynamic can be created. Only down compression when levels are going above the target or only upwards gain when lower than target. When working with dialogue these settings would be helpful.
  2. In the leveler the threshold can be set to a minimum of -60 dB. It sometimes occurs that level (mainly noise) drops below this level and the gain drops back to default without an upwards gain (set in the leveler). Great would be if this threshold can also be set to -infinity.
