I am running Auto Align 2.2 in Pro Tools 2024.6, and whilst it is working great on multi-track drums etc sonically, when I go to commit the processing (by disabling AA2 in the Elastic Audio tab and choosing to commit), the process is taking an enormous amount of time. I am currently still waiting for 7 drum tracks to complete after over 2 hours.
I will also contact Avid support, but is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks for your message. I’m sorry to hear about this issue.
Do you have a lot of unused audio in your timeline, like multiple takes that aren’t being used?
If for example, your timeline has 5 unused takes and 1 final take, Auto-Align 2 will analyze and process all those takes when rendering. This will significantly increase the rendering time.
To speed things up, try duplicating the playlist of the aligned tracks, remove all the unused audio from the duplicated playlists, and then render Auto-Align 2.
This should help reduce the processing time.
If it’s still slow, please send us a message to support@soundradix.com and we’ll take it from there.
Thanks for jumping in on this. No, there are no additional takes on the timeline - I’ll send an email to support and hopefully we can figure out what’s going on. Yesterdays commit pass took 4 hours to complete in the end, which obviously isn’t viable. In the meantime, I’ll return to using AA2 as a plug-in, and avoiding ARA.
Came here trying to google this problem. Having the exact same issue here. Not an excessive amount of audio on the timeline. Simply a normal drum performance and AA took around 5 mins to commit via ARA. When using the plugin version, these commits take seconds.
Exactly the same problem here. Pro Tools 2024.6, Mac Sonoma. Currently been waiting about 15/20 minutes to commit 12 tracks of drums. Nothing additional on the timeline etc.
