Auto Align Post audio suite render stutter

Hi SoundRadix team. I’ve run into a showstopping issue that I am struggling to reliably reproduce on smaller sessions, but that I am sure relates to either Auto Align Post, or the way Pro Tools renders AAP using audiosuite.

My typical workflow with AAP is to select a number of audio files on the timeline, then align with the following audiosuite settings:

Create individual files
Clip by clip
Mono mode

At some point in the last few weeks (I think before Pro Tools 2025.6 was released), I have been experiencing a weird and frustrating bug, where rendering some files within a selection of several files will create a stutter at one or several points in the audio file. The tracks that have this issue are nested within 2-3 layers of folder tracks, and there is always an inactive/closed folder somewhere in the session with duplicates of every audio file, in order to revert back to the original audio if necessary.

I have previously never had a problem with this software before - it has worked flawlessly. Unfortunately I am now at the point where I can’t trust the rendering process at all, and it is creating more work than it saves.

Here is a dropbox link with several examples of this behaviour, ranging from subtle to extremely obvious: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/hjukk5uy4x0ekzgvqykb3/AHQ0whaiF-0wDo__gIOZC0A?rlkey=6d2euxgwsnfq0r3j9u27xhy19&dl=0

My system specs:

2021 Apple M1 Max, 64GB
Sonoma 14.7.5
Pro Tools 2025.6

I would appreciate any guidance or advice for further testing. I will update the dropbox folder to include a small Pro Tools session if I can manage to reliably reproduce the fault on a smaller session.

Hi @danielkassulke,

Thanks for your message. Sorry to hear about this issue.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce it with my test projects.

Which Auto-Align Post version are you using?
You can see the version information by clicking on the Auto-Align Post logo.

If you’re using anything earlier than version 2.3.1, I’d suggest installing the latest AAP 2.3.2 and see if it behaves differently:

If you’re using handles, you can try aligning the problematic clips without handles and see if that helps.

If you still have any issues, it would be great if you could send us a small session with a few clips where we could align them and see the issue.

Thanks,

Oran
