AA2 Cubase ARA Artifacts

Hello

I tried AA2 in ARA with Cubase 13 on Acoustic guitar and Piano
I got nasty artifacts, is the plugin mostly designed for drums or is it a user error?
Thanks!

Hey there!
Auto-Align is designed to improve relations of the same source recorded using multiple microphones.

Here are some examples Auto-Align 2 should be useful for:

  1. Acoustic Guitar and Piano in the same room, recorded using mutliple microphones.
  2. Acoustic Guitar recorded with multiple microhones.
  3. Piano recorded with mutliple microphones.

Auto-Align will also detect their relations and if they’re separated recordings it’ll most likely group them accordingly.

Auto-Align 2 won’t do anything for:

  • Piano recorded by a single microphone and an Acoustic Guitar recorded separately.

If you’re having issues, as always, I’d suggest contacting our support to get you up and running as soon as possible - Support : SOUND RADIX SUPPORT

I thought that was self explanatory that I was using multiple microphones, since it was a topic about Auto Align.

So I will clarify, I used multiple microphones on the sources.
Why do these artifacts occur?

Why do these artifacts occur?

That doesn’t sound right.

As I’ve suggested in previous reply, our support would be more than happy to get your up and running.

Here are some ideas for troubleshooting, that’ll also be useful while contacting our support.

  1. Are you using AA2 as ARA Extension or “vanilla” VST3?
  2. Is this is with the latest Cubase 13?
  3. Are you on macOS or Windows?
  4. Did you try different ASIO / buffer sizes?
  5. Is the issue also happens with the plug-in ui closed?

Thank you.

I did use it in ARA Extension.
Not the latest, maybe second to last version.
I am on macOS Sonoma.
The buffer is at maximum.

The artifacts disappears when ARA plugin UI is closed
