Is Static even necessary?

Since AAP determines distance on its algo, leaving the plugin set to dynamic would basically do everything static does but a small movement would be corrected more then if in static?

Anyone tested this theory? Gonna do an episode this way, as it has always been a thought, but realized I forgot to set for static and don’t want to start over.

Anyone got any theories or experience on why this would create a problem?

@lexaudio1 We’ve debated as well if Static mode was needed. Other than using it for stationary instruments/FX microphone setups, there’s a unique use case AAP helps to solve: When conforming tracks, due to inaccuracies of the recording devices, the original multi-tracks may be off by a frame or less. The Static mode enables to easily correct for this offset.
