Radical1 is our first step into a vivid, colorful world of additive synthesis. Created for musicians, sound designers, and curious creators, it blends spectral control, deep modulation, and musical movement into an instrument that feels alive under your hands.
Radical1 is a continuously evolving instrument that invites you to explore its universe from the very beginning. The Preview Release is available to explore right now - both as a free trial and at a discounted early-access price. If you choose to purchase it during the preview, your license automatically includes the full version when it ships, complete with all factory presets. Until then, you get immediate access to everything already available inside the Preview.
Radical1 begins as an invitation: A chance to explore sound in new ways and take part in the growth of a unique sonic machine.
If you love discovering instruments before they’re fully charted… If you enjoy exploring territory as it unfolds… If you want to influence the direction of a new creative universe - We’d love to hear your voice in this journey.
Feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, and feature requests. Anything that can help make Radical1 better for you and for everyone exploring it. The instrument will grow in many directions, and your feedback genuinely shapes that path.
And if you create presets you’re excited about, please share them with the community. We can’t wait to hear what Radical1 sounds like in your hands.
Liked what I saw in the demo enough to immediately purchase it and I’m now exploring it more fully.
One thing I’d really appreciate is if you incorporate Native Instruments NKS so we can get full use out of our Kontrol keyborads, for those of us who have them. Makes a huge usability improvement and it will keep Radical in my line of sight when making synth choices.
Hi @spindizzy thanks so much for your support and welcome to Radical1!
NKS support is on the way. For now, NKS-compatible preset categories are already in place, and starred parameters are mapped by default to NI’s knobs via MIDI CCs.
HI! Wow it’s a super interesting synth, I purchased it and I’m already using it in a film score as I write this. I would definitely love to see an intelligent randomizer…but my biggest wish is an increase in the type size. It’s seems really tiny and pixelated…and can’t be scaled. Your other plugs have a great scaling feature…wonder if that functionality is planned for Radical? Not sure how other old timers feel, but as a composer in his sixties, I find the readability a little challenging
Thanks so much for the kind words and your support. It’s great to hear you’re already using Radical1 in a film score.
Improved readability and scalable UI are on our to do list. Radical1’s interface is built a bit differently from our other tools, so it’s not a simple switch, but better scaling is definitely planned. I’ve added your feedback to our list, and it’s a helpful nudge in the right direction.
