We’re excited to announce the first (pre) release of Radical1 Solo, a fully featured monophonic additive synth built on Radical1’s synthesis engine, and it’s completely free for everyone!
Radical1 Solo gives you a single-layer, monophonic workspace to explore all of Radical1’s features, great for leads and heavy basslines.
In addition, it comes with 91 presets and 229 carefully curated samples to get you started.
Also fresh off the press is the new Radical1 v0.9.6 update, which brings a searchable sample browser, new Route and Quantize modulators, expanded MIDI/MPE routing, and overall smoother performance.

Incredible man, I loved exploring the free version (thank you for releasing this)! I stumbled across it randomly via the ‘Synth Anatomy’ website and began playing around to see what it could do, and within moments purchased a license (or was it a few hours?) …those darn synthesis infused time dilations lol!
Anyway, I intuitively knew I needed this and the Solo version is really capable and provides a strong indication of what’s possible. Additionally, I was really impressed with your portfolio of innovative tools and I’m super excited about the development of ‘Radical’ as I think it has so many possibilities! Naturally I have many questions; but that can wait until I’ve finished absorbing every molecule of the Manual 1st!
Radical sounds awesome anyway, and I’m really inspired about its future - way to go SR!
