Radical1 v0.9.2 Open Beta

Dear Radicals,

We’re very happy to share Radical1 v0.9.2 Open Beta.

Radical1 is our first step into a vivid, colorful world of additive synthesis. Created for musicians, sound designers, and curious creators, it blends spectral control, deep modulation, and musical movement into an instrument that feels alive under your hands.

A 14-day trial is also available. Simply run the installer, open your DAW, and click ‘Try’ in the iLok prompt.

Installers:

Radical1 v0.9.2 for macOS

Radical1 v0.9.2 for Windows

Release notes:

  • Initial public Windows release!
  • New radical presets!
  • Aggregate Modifier / ability to modulate envelopes on global audio effects section.
  • Allow “Module Input” as a route target.

Excellent sounding! Windows user so haven’t been able to test as of yet. Installed and activated via trial with no issues. No DAW crashing, no major GUI issues, no export issues, no recall issues. preset mgmt is well organized with many sound options. The only big issue I have with this is visibility, wherein you lose focus because some elements are very small. Collapse/expand, bypass are microscopically small.

Otherwise, very stable thus far, and enjoying my testing time  win11 pro, reaper 5.59, cubase pro 14.0.10, vst3, amd 7950x

Hi @guitar_guy182 ,

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. Great to hear you’re enjoying Radical1 in REAPER.
We’ll look into improving visibility.

If there’s anything else, let us know.

I agree about the visibility. I’m continually peering at the screen trying to read the text which is minute on my hires screen and is on a black background. Personally I would much prefer a simple white background with black text that is legible.
