Feature idea - ignore background noise when auto-aligning?

I often use AAP to process entire dialog tracks (individual clips, dynamic processing) but have encountered phase issues when there is no dialog for an extended period.

For example let’s say the characters meet outside and pause for a second until they speak - AAP will try to align the ambience/background noise thus making the wind sound like a phaser has been applied. It would be handy to have a feature where AAP could perhaps detect/ignore audio under a certain level or at least provide a parameter for the user to set a trigger level.

Hope that makes sense and thanks for considering.

Hi @registrations

Thanks for your feature idea. Makes total sense. Could you please let me know which version of AAP you’re using?

Thanks,

Nir

Actually it looks like I’m on the older 1.0.1 version. I’m updating now.

Thanks for considering the feature.

Thanks for the update, @registrations. Please let me know if you’re still experiencing the phaser effect on ambience-only with the latest versions.

Cheers,

Nir
