Caution! Latest macOS 10.15 Catalina betas cause some Audio-Units to fail

From our tests it seems that macOS 10.15 Catalina is currently incompatible with many AU plug-ins.
Those includes Sound Radix plug-ins and other manufacturers.

Who is affected by this issue?

Anyone who uses Audio-Unit under macOS 10.15 Catalina Public Beta / Developer builds with hosts using auval (Audio Unit validation).

We strongly advise any Logic Pro X, GarageBand and MainStage users to wait until a resolution is available.

In addition, we’d like to remind everyone that Catalina is the first macOS version to fully drop 32-bit support.
This breaks many applications that has any use of 32bit code.

  • With newest Catalina betas it seems the AU issue is resolved but we’re still keeping an eye. we’ll report/update about certification once final release of Catalina (macOS 10.15) is available.
