Authorization Error in Logic Pro

Heads up Logic Pro users,

If you encounter an Authorization Error (Error 6004) in Logic Pro, it might be due to an issue with the latest iLok License Manager (v5.10.5). Going back to iLok License Manager v5.10.4 fixes the issue. Here’s how:

  1. Download iLok License Manager version 5.10.4 from here: https://assets.soundradix.com/downloads/support/LicenseSupportInstallerMac%205.10.4%20b5324-72ed0501.zip
  2. Run the Uninstaller: Unzip the downloaded file, open the .dmg, and run Uninstall License Support. You must uninstall 5.10.5 first to ensure a clean downgrade.
  3. Install 5.10.4: Run the License Support.pkg file.
  4. Verify in Logic Pro: Launch Logic Pro. Radical1 should now load successfully.

Troubleshooting

If the error persists, restart your Mac, launch Logic Pro, and go to the Logic Pro Plug-in Manager (Logic Pro menu → Settings → Plug-in Manager), locate Radical1, and click Reset & Rescan Selection.

We’ve reported this issue to PACE. If you haven’t updated to the latest iLok License Manager 5.10.5 just yet, we advise waiting for the next update.

Did all that but it still wasn’t showing.

In the end I had to delete and rebuild Logic Pro prefs for it to show up in instruments again.

Sorry for the hassle, and glad to hear you’re up and running

I couldn’t reproduce when going from Radical1 v0.9.4 to v0.9.5 using Logic Pro 12.2. We’ll keep an eye out for this issue.
