I just got AA2 and using it on a drum recording, for some reason that I can’t really figure out it is causing the drums to flam. It’s very audible that I can hear most elements of the kit twice. Not sure how to fix this or if I am doing something wrong. It automatically sets the tom mic as the source, but also when I select other mics manually like the kick or snare mic it still flams. The only thing that reduces the flaming but doesn’t completely going away is only aligning the close mics without the overheads. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Hi @ziadhisham3,
Thanks for your message.
If you can send us your project to support@soundradix.com, we’d be happy to take a close look.
In the meantine, if you’re capturing into Auto-Align 2, make sure to capture the whole song to get the best results.
Thanks,
Oran
Hey Oran,
Thanks for your quick response ![]()
I figured out the problem.
I just exported the drum tracks to a new session in logic and it worked just fine.
I am assuming the reason might be that the original recording was made on a newer version of logic.
Will just leave this here in case someone else has the same issue.
Thanks
Het @ziadhisham3,
Thanks for your the update. Glad to hear.
Next time, if you want to start from a clean slate (and you’re not using Auto-Align 2 ARA) - you can go to Settings → Clear Exsiting Capture and also Reset → All.
