POWAIR Error in Wavelab 12 on MAC: Unsupported input channel layout

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to use POWAIR in Wavelab 12 on MAC M1 , but I keep getting the following error when inserting it:

"At this insertion point, the plug-in does not support the input channel layout." (See attached screenshot).

I have verified that Wavelab’s Channel Processing routing for this insert is set to standard Stereo, and other plugins in the exact same chain are working without any issues.

Is there a pragmatic workaround, a specific setting in Wavelab, or a known VST3 handshake issue I should be aware of to get POWAIR working here?

Thanks for your message, and sorry to hear about this issue.

I see the same error in WaveLab 12, but it looks like WaveLab 13 offers a better experience with POWAIR.

If you’re able to install the latest WaveLab 13.0.20, try inserting POWAIR v1.4 (available on the Downloads page) and then:

1. Click OK on the error message.

2. Manually turn POWAIR back on using the power button in the plugin window header (WaveLab automatically disables it when the error pops up).

Once you’ve turned POWAIR back on, it should work normally.

We’ll look into why this happens and try to improve, of course.
