Hello fine gentlemen! Here’s a (hopefully) simple feature request for AA2: An option that says something like “Move mics in time as little as possible.” Currently, AA2 picks the most optimal phase alignment for everything together, but I consistently get better results by using the little + and - options so that the mics are moved in time as little as possible. At least for drums, there is no world where moving a kick mic 5ms forward or backwards in time ends up producing the best results… especially in most heavy music genres where extreme care has been taken to get the drums as perfectly in time as possible. So I am always manually adjusting each mic on the kit to be moved as little as possible. The spectral optimization in AA2 works so damn well that after making this adjustment, everything sounds amazing. I’m usually aiming to move all the mics less that 1ms in time, and rather than doing this for 25 different mics on a kit, it would be DOPE if I could just set the Snare Top as the Performance Time, and then hit another button that says something like "Move mics as little as possible. " Then we could always continue hitting the little + and - signs to optimize further.
