Tighter Q in SurferEQ

Is there any way to make the Q tighter in SurferEQ? Right now, the tightest Q is still very broad to be the tightest Q, and if I want to pinpoint a specific harmonic/moving frequency to attenuate, it also brings down the surrounding frequencies. If there isn’t a way, I would like to request that feature.

Best regards

Hi @sakarias.pewe,

Thanks for your message.

Tighter Qs are already in SurferEQ’s feature requests list but it doesn’t hurt to ask again ;).
If there’s anything else I can help with, just let me know.

Happy mixing,

Oran

Is this feature something you guys are working on at the moment, and if so, when approximately will that version arrive? If not, when can users expect this being worked on? I’m not using SurferEQ at the moment, as I can’t reach the desired effect I want with the current Q values. I really like the plugin though, so I would love if I would be able to get it into my workflow.

Hi @sakarias.pewe,

Thanks for your message.

I’m sorry to hear about this issue.
Unfortunately, I can’t say when SurferEQ will be updated to include tighter Qs.

If there’s anything else I can help with, let me know.

Thanks,

Oran
