# What is the reported latency for the Pi plugin?

What is the latency reported by the Pi plugin to the DAW?

(i.e., is it zero-latency or does it have some processing delay?)

@joshunique Pi is using quite an extensive lookahead buffer because it needs to receive the audio stream from all the tracks it runs on in the project before it can calculate the phase for each one of them. Pi’s latency depends on its Lookahead buffer settings and the project’s sample rate. For example, when set to 250ms Lookahead in a 44.1 kHz project, the reported latency will be 11025 samples.
