# Crossfades messing with AAP2?

Since doing the downgrade and upgrade things and getting AAP2 to work as an ARA extension it’s been a dream. One odd thing I’ve noticed is that, if I align a bunch of edited clips which have crossfades, some clips actually move further out of alignment than the original! The workaround is to delete the fades but I’m curious as to why this is an intermittent problem.

Further to this, fades on both ref and target need to be cleared. I’ve attached a screenshot. The top is aligned but not rendered and so looks like the original but I can hear the introduced delay. The second is rendered, showing the delay,
